Fondazione Fitzcarraldo, together with the aiku Centre - art enterprise culture of the Ca' Foscari University Foundation, is a research partner of the Dance Well project.
The project is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, involving 9 partners and about 40 dance artists in 5 countries is aimed at bringing the Dance Well practice to Europe, promoting dance in museum spaces, in artistic contexts and is mainly, but not exclusively, addressed to people living with Parkinson's disease.

Fondazione Fitzcarraldo is partner of EU Heritage, a transnational project developed within the framework of the Erasmus + EU programme (SkillsAlliance for Design and Delivery of VET Sector).
The project aims to create a new transnational curriculum for cultural heritage professionals, focused on digital skills, transferable and transversal competences, soft skills and skills connected to experience tourism in the field of cultural heritage.
Fondazione Fitzcarraldo is a partner of ROCK, developed within the framework of Horizon2020, which aims to develop an innovative, collaborative and systemic approach to promote the regeneration and adaptive reuse of historic city centres. By implementing a repertoire of seven successful heritage-led regeneration initiatives (Role models), the objective is to test the replicability of such models in addressing the specific needs of historic city centres in other three cities (Replicators).
Fondazione Fitzcarraldo has been a partner of CONNECT, a Knowledge Alliance for Audience Development developed within the framework of Erasmus+ that promotes innovative cooperation between universities, institutions and enterprises in the cultural sector across Europe.
Fitzcarraldo takes part in the pilot project Practics (2008-2011) aiming at opening 4 "Cultural Mobility Contact Points", providing artists and cultural operators with useful information for the inter-European mobility. The "Cultural Mobility Contact Points" will be in Spain (at Interarts), Belgium (at Kunstenloket), The Netherlands (at SICA) and Galles (at the Arts Council of Wales). The situation in Italy and in Finland will be also mapped to identify further bodies, which could work as "Cultural Mobility Contact Points" as well. This project follows the Mobile.Home project (2006) and the study "Impediments to Mobility in the EU Live Performances Sector and on Possible Solutions".
In view of the work of the OMC Working Group on Mobility of Artists and Cultural Workers set up by the Cultural Council, this pilot project seeks to facilitate the provision of information, exchange of best practices and support EU cross-border mobility in the cultural sector.
This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.
A qualitative survey, updating the research "Cultural cooperation in Europe: what role for foundations?" (2003) and aimed at understanding how the policies of European and non European foundations concerning transnational cultural cooperation have changed. The survey is carried out in cooperation with NEF - Network of Foundations and the European Foundation Centre.
Fitzcarraldo took part in the six month study for the European Commission on mobility incentives in the culture/creative sector carried out by the ERICarts Institute. It is a survey and analysis of the range and scope as well as motives and results of such programmes.
Fitzcarraldo collaborated to the research as corrispondent from Italy and provided an overview of the initiatives supporting mobility from and to the country.
The Ericarts study collected information on mobility trends in different regions of Europe; recent debates taking place within individual countries; existing mobility schemes; the main motives for funding bodies to support mobility; and the main sources where professionals can find information about mobility incentives or barriers. Recommendations for action are targeted to mobility funders within Member States and call for complementary action on the part of the European Commission, which respects the principle of subsidiarity for EU action in the cultural sector.
Fondazione Fitzcarraldo took part in European Year of Workers' Mobility 2006, as associated partner of the project Mobile.Home funded by the European Commission.
Mobile.Home looks at successes and obstacles to the mobility of arts and artists across European borders.
Fitzcarraldo has collected five artists' and cultural operators' experience on mobility: Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, critic and curator and general Secretary of Fondazione Adriano Olivetti; Prunella Pacey, viola player and teacher who has been living for more the 20 years in the Netherlands; Susa Pop, German cultural manager, leading the international project Mobile - Museums and Mobile Studios; Artan Shabani, Albanian painter today living in Italy; Galin Stoev, Bulgarian theatre director, who has been living for quite some time in Brussels.
Other artists have been interviewed by Goethe Institut and Visiting Arts. The project has also created a help line for frequently asked questions about legal and fiscal issues of artists travelling across national borders for their work which produced a downloadable Study on Impediments to Mobility in the EU Live Performance Sector and Possible Solutions.

Within the LAB, the G2CC project is a crucial part of the initial phase to develop a web portal on European cultural cooperation. The multilingual portal will deliver a practical service to artists, cultural practitioners, researchers and policy makers and will facilitate information exchange on a vast number of topics related to European cultural cooperation. The G2CC forms a core of the portal's development and provides the first steps for its central content.
Funded by the European Union – Directorate General Culture and Education, the G2CC project's co-organisers are Fondazione Fitzcarraldo, EricArts Institute, the European Cultural Foundation / LabforCulture.org, On the Move Association.
The G2CC project aims at analysing and disseminating information on cultural cooperation and increasing access to information and services for artists, cultural operators and stakeholders. It has a clear focus on cross-border and trans-national cooperation, encouraging cultural professionals in Europe to share knowledge and experience. At a later stage, it will provide a dynamic and interactive tool for cooperation.
Within the G2CC project Fondazione Fitzcarraldo has elaborated till now more than 30 case studies and has designed and developed together with EasyBit a virtual map to surf and get inspiration from the contents.

The study aims at providing foundations the necessary tools for drafting new strategies and actions that could guarantee coherence and legitimacy to the international leadership role foundations are playing next to the European institutions, networks and national authorities in the field of cultural cooperation. A study commissioned by NEF – Network of European Foundations for Innovative Cooperation.
The report has been carried out by INTERARTS (Spain) and EFAH (Belgium) on behalf of the European Commission DG EAC.
It describes and analyses the current situation as well as the future trends of the intergovernmental cultural cooperation in Europe. Thirty-one European countries' governmental departments, arts councils, national cultural institutions, national cultural organisations and other public authorities committed in transnational cultural cooperation have been surveyed.
Fondazione Fitzcarraldo drafted the chapter on Italy.
