The Cultural Observatory of Piedmont launched a research project to study reading habits in the region.
The results of the surveys of the publishing sector carried out each year by OCP show that the greatest changes have concerned the channels of access to reading.
In 2008 and 2009, OCP will be carrying out a multistage research programme to describe the socio-cultural profile of readers in Piedmont, performing a qualitative analysis of the impact of specific initiatives to promote reading (festivals, events, reading clubs) and examining the audience of non-readers and "informal" readers.
