The first International Conference on Cultural Management
Education and Training is taking place on 25th - 29th June
2003.
It is organised by ENCATC -European Network of Cultural Administration Training Centres- and AAAE -Association of Arts Administration Educators (USA)- and will be hosted by Fondazione Fitzcarraldo, Italy in Torino and Serralunga.
The event benefits of the patronage and/or support of UNESCO, Council of Europe and of European Parliament as well as of Regione Piemonte, Città di Torino, Provincia di Cuneo and Comune di Serralunga.
The Conference will provide an international space for exchange
among professionals and institutions from 42 countries in
Europe, USA, Australia, Canada, Latin America, Asia and Africa
who are interested in sharing practices and know-how concerning
the new challenges for cultural management. The program will focus on the new perspectives that cultural management have to face both at international as at local level particularly through a discussion with supranational institutions. |
During the conference the participants will be involved in workshops and panels on specific issues like heritage management, local development, artistic integrity and social responsibility, and on content and methodologies related to cultural policy and leadership.
They will also deal with the new questions in cultural management training like cultural diversity, e-learning, international internship and the professional profiles required by arts organisations and cultural industries. |
The sessions will take place in Torino in the just renewed Meeting Centre of Regione Piemonte and in the charming landscapes of Langhe on the vineyards hills of Serralunga (CN) on Friday 27th: a full immersion in the Piedmont local dimension that will favour contacts among the participants.
Visits to some of the most interesting museums and heritage sites
of the region, some art sessions together with a visit to the
Castle of Serralunga and a walk in the vineyards with local wine
and food tasting will make the International Conference an
unforgettable experience.
