Abstract

“Books as journeys, as research companions, as Swiss army knives for those who live and work in the world of culture.” Here’s a brief sentence to describe “Geografie Culturali,” the series of publications born in 2018 from the collaboration between the Fitzcarraldo Foundation and Editrice Bibliografica.

Our role

Curated by Luca Dal Pozzolo, director of the Cultural Observatory of Piedmont, the series aims to explore, map out, and narrate pathways to reflect with deeper awareness on the place and possible roles of culture in society and the economy, in the era of globalisation and new local demands.
The topics covered are numerous: culture and digital technology, culture and welfare, culture and local development, museums and sustainability, and much more.

The series is characterised by an essay style, and in 2024 will launch an additional publication: “Strumenti” (Tools) – an editorial project focusing on practical manuals for people working in the cultural sector, providing methodological and technical support.
