Abstract

EU HERITAGE is a transnational Erasmus+ project that aims to create a new curriculum for cultural heritage professionals, focusing on digital competencies, soft skills and skills related to “experience tourism” in the field of cultural heritage. The project benefits three main target groups: cultural and heritage tourism professionals; SMEs, start-ups and entrepreneurs; and artists, creatives and other professionals in the cultural and creative industries.

Goals

EU’s main challenges are:

  • enhancing the innovation of the cultural heritage sector to make it more sustainable, accessible, audience centered, digitized, and therefore more competitive;
  • building an alliance for the promotion and enhancement of Cultural Heritage, working on the training of professionals by integrating soft skills;
  • stimulate the creation of “hybrid” professionals who are able to assess and take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital and the hybridization of cultural heritage with other sectors and disciplines;
  • foster cooperation of the cultural heritage sector with other sectors and industries, especially technology, tourism, SMEs, and creative and cultural industries.
