Abstract

Beyond is Culture Action Europe’s flagship annual conference, bringing together over 300 organizations, institutions, researchers, and activists from across Europe to explore the transformative power of culture in addressing societal challenges. Taking place in Turin from June 4-7, 2025, Beyond 2025 is co-organized by Culture Action Europe, Fondazione Fitzcarraldo, and Club Silencio. This edition will focus on fostering cross-generational dialogue, bridging past and future cultural narratives, and highlighting the central role of culture in shaping a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable Europe.

Goals

Considering culture as a catalyst for systemic change, Beyond 2025 aims to:

• Foster cross-sector dialogue: create a platform for cultural and social actors, policymakers, and researchers to exchange ideas and co-design innovative solutions to contemporary challenges.
• Strengthen intergenerational connections: promote dialogue between generations to bridge cultural narratives and build a cohesive vision for the future.
• Champion culture’s role in society: highlight the indispensable role of culture in addressing issues such as social inequality, environmental sustainability, and democratic engagement.
• Empower cultural advocacy: equip participants with the tools, insights, and networks needed to amplify the voice of culture within European policymaking and society.
