Abstract
The ADESTE project responds to necessity of placing audiences at the heart of cultural planning, by combining research and training activities, strategic dissemination and advocacy actions, and experimenting with innovative methodologies. Specific skills to effectively promote access and cultural participation are needed to achieve this. Indeed, anew professional profile is required: that of the audience developer.
Co-financed by the European Union’s LLP – Leonardo da Vinci Programme, Development of Innovation.
Goals
The goals of the project were to:
- Address the topic of audience engagement from multiple perspectives, emphasising the importance of developing knowledge and the diversity of audience types, and not just to estimate audience members;
- Design and certify a new European professional profile in the field of arts and culture, connecting the professional training system and the job market;
- Develop and experiment with innovative training methodologies at the European level, in line with the needs of the job market, bringing international best practices (new profession, new needs);
- Promote co-operation and the exchange of good practices according to a pan-European and cross-sectoral approach.
